This site is run using Debian GNU/Linux and the Apache Tomcat servlet container. These are both Open Source projects, allowing us maximum flexibility in extending and securing our site.
As part of our commitment to open standards, all of the pages on this site have been validated as well formed XHTML 1.1, a reformulation of HTML as an XML application. This ensures that you will be able to view our pages on any web browser, and not just the most popular one.
We also use CSS to separate our style from our content.
We go to the trouble to make sure that our pages are in conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and Section 508. This not only helps folks with disabilities get access to our site, but is good for making sure that our site is viewable with many types of devices, delivering on the Web's original promise of portability.
This site is also available via SSL, which ensures that all information sent to or from your browser is encrypted.
